First Day

27th August 2024, marked my first day at MEACT B.Ed. college, a moment I had been eagerly anticipating despite missing the initial few days due to my postgraduate program not being complete. The excitement of starting this new journey mingled with a hint of anxiety, especially knowing I was a bit behind my peers.

As I walked through the campus, I was really nervous I couldn’t shake the feeling of being an outsider, stepping into a world where everyone else had already begun to bond. I learned about the course structure, upcoming assignments, and the various extracurricular activities available. Although I felt a bit lost at times, the teachers and fellow students helped ease my nerves.

During the breaks, I took the opportunity to connect with a few classmates. Their kindness in sharing what I had missed was invaluable. They filled me in on the discussions and activities from the first few days, helping me feel more included in the group. The highlight of my day came during the last hour when we practiced. I joined the mime team for the upcoming Teachers' Day program, which added a thrilling dimension to my experience. Engaging in this expressive art form was both fun and challenging and I am sure that all these experiences will be big asset to my future as a teacher.

By the end of the day, I was exhausted but filled with a sense of accomplishment and belonging. My first day  wasn’t just about catching up on missed classes; it was about building connections, overcoming my apprehensions, and embracing new opportunities. This day marked an exciting journey in my life, every moment in this journey counts. I am very much looking forward for the experiences ahead.
