Fourth Day of School Induction at G.H.S.S. Chithara

 

October 4, 2024, was another fulfilling day at G.H.S.S. Chithara. I arrived at the school at 9:30 am, signed the register, and began the day by attending the class assigned to me.

Later, Neethu teacher entrusted Alfiya, Sruthy, and me with the task of evaluating the entries for the English story writing competition. We carefully reviewed the stories, selecting the best three, which we then handed over to the teacher, providing our feedback on each entry.

In the afternoon, we met Sudhilal Sir, who is in charge of the SPC, and gathered important information regarding the program. We were also given the chance to visit the computer lab, which was equipped with high-tech facilities, leaving us impressed by the resources available to the students.

After continuing with the day’s schedule and attending the remaining classes, we signed out at the end of the day. It was a productive day, and I’m excited for what’s to come in the next stages of our induction.

WEEK 2 TEACHING PRACTICE

  Teaching Practice Reflections: Days 6–10 Days six to ten of my teaching practice marked a clear shift from settling in to confidently experimenting with different teaching strategies. Each day brought opportunities to strengthen both content delivery and classroom management while responding to students’ learning needs. Teaching grammar concepts such as types of sentences, determiners, and collective nouns helped me understand how structured methods make learning easier for students. The use of ICT , along with activities and group work, consistently increased student interest and participation. Students were more willing to share ideas, attempt answers, and collaborate when visuals and interactive tasks were used. Observation day became a valuable learning moment. Teaching Practice – Week Five Reflection           Week Five of my teaching practice at G.V.H.S.S Kadakkal was an eventful blend of academics, celebrations, and responsibilities. The days were filled with activities that highlighted the spirit of the school — from the excitement of elections and the pride of Independence Day to the joy of classroom learning. It was a week that beautifully balanced teaching, teamwork, and school culture.
