Second Day of School Induction at G.H.S.S. Chithara

    October 1, 2024, marked my second day of induction at G.H.S.S. Chithara, and it was yet another enriching experience. I arrived at 9:30 am, signed the register, and then spent the day attending the classes allotted to me, interacting with students and observing their learning environment.

    During the lunch break, I assisted the senior teachers in serving lunch, giving me the opportunity to interact more with the students outside of the classroom. In the 5th period, I conducted a Physical Training (PT) session with class 10C, which was productive and well-received, as all students participated with enthusiasm.

    The highlight of the day was managing the Malayalam poetry writing competition for the school’s Kalolsavam. I provided the students with a topic and collected their completed entries, which were later submitted to the teacher in charge. Afterward, I had some free time to reflect and catch up on my tasks.

    The day concluded with another visit to the Headmistress’s office to sign out, marking the end of a fulfilling and insightful day. I look forward to the experiences yet to come during the induction program.

WEEK 2 TEACHING PRACTICE

  Teaching Practice Reflections: Days 6–10 Days six to ten of my teaching practice marked a clear shift from settling in to confidently experimenting with different teaching strategies. Each day brought opportunities to strengthen both content delivery and classroom management while responding to students’ learning needs. Teaching grammar concepts such as types of sentences, determiners, and collective nouns helped me understand how structured methods make learning easier for students. The use of ICT , along with activities and group work, consistently increased student interest and participation. Students were more willing to share ideas, attempt answers, and collaborate when visuals and interactive tasks were used. Observation day became a valuable learning moment. Teaching Practice – Week Five Reflection           Week Five of my teaching practice at G.V.H.S.S Kadakkal was an eventful blend of academics, celebrations, and responsibilities. The days were filled with activities that highlighted the spirit of the school — from the excitement of elections and the pride of Independence Day to the joy of classroom learning. It was a week that beautifully balanced teaching, teamwork, and school culture.
