World Environment Day Celebration

On June 5, 2025, the students of MEACT B.Ed. College celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of environmental responsibility. The celebration was organised in alignment with the global theme “Beat Plastic Pollution,” highlighting the urgent need to protect and preserve our environment.

As part of the programme, the Natural Science students organised a speech competition, where participants shared insightful ideas. The speeches were informative and thought-provoking, encouraging everyone to reflect on their role in safeguarding nature.

Following the competition, students took part in an engaging treasure hunt activity, which added an element of excitement and teamwork to the event. Through collaboration and critical thinking, our team successfully identified the hidden item—a plant—which symbolised growth, life, and environmental protection.

The programme concluded with a meaningful gesture of planting the sapling by the Principal, reminding that small actions can lead to significant positive change. Overall, the World Environment Day celebration was both educational and inspiring, reinforcing environmental awareness and motivating students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
