TEACHING PRACTICE DAY - 8
The final phase of my teaching practice was both engaging and deeply reflective. Each day strengthened my confidence as a teacher and reinforced the importance of thoughtful planning, student involvement, and balanced learning experiences.
Across these days, teaching Engine Trouble by R. K. Narayan using ICT proved consistently effective. Visuals and digital aids helped students grasp the text more easily, encouraged active participation, and made classroom interactions more meaningful. Group activities and discussions revealed improved comprehension, as students confidently shared ideas and completed tasks with interest.
Beyond academics, the days highlighted the value of holistic education. The yoga session offered students a refreshing break from routine learning, while the paper bag–making activity nurtured creativity, teamwork, and environmental awareness. These moments showed that learning becomes more impactful when cognitive, physical, and creative aspects are integrated.
Assessment also played a key role during this period. The re-diagnostic and achievement tests provided clear insights into students’ progress and understanding. Equally meaningful was the opportunity to receive honest feedback from students on the last day, which gave me valuable perspectives on my teaching approach.
Overall, these days marked a fulfilling conclusion to my teaching practice. They helped me grow not only as an instructor but also as a reflective practitioner, leaving me motivated and better prepared for my future role as a teacher.
