Community Living Camp – Day 4


    The fourth day of our Community Living Camp at St. Xavier’s Vidyanikethan, Pathanapuram began with renewed enthusiasm and excitement. By this stage, everyone had settled comfortably into the rhythm of camp life—working, learning, and laughing together like one big family.

    The day started with an early morning exercise session, which helped us stretch, energise, and prepare for the fun-filled schedule ahead. After the refreshing workout, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that gave us the perfect boost for the day. On this day, we proudly served as members of the media team, taking on the responsibility of documenting the camp’s activities.

Drama Workshop with Dhaneesh Sir

    At 10:00 a.m., we participated in one of the most exciting sessions of the camp—a Drama Workshop conducted by our talented Art Sir, Mr. Dhaneesh. The session was lively and creative, filled with expression, imagination, and laughter. Within minutes, we were divided into groups, brainstormed ideas, and prepared short dramas based on various themes.

    After lunch, all four teams presented their dramas, showcasing remarkable creativity, coordination, and confidence. Each performance reflected unique ideas and strong teamwork, leaving the audience thoroughly impressed. The hall echoed with applause and cheers, making the session a true celebration of art, expression, and collaboration.

Closing Ceremony and Camp Parliament

    Following the drama presentations, we gathered for the Closing Ceremony, which was conducted along with the Camp Parliament. The atmosphere was both joyful and emotional as participants shared their experiences from the past four days—the lessons learned, friendships formed, and memories created. The camp leaders and teachers appreciated the sincere efforts, discipline, and active participation of all the trainees.

Campfire Night

    After dinner, we assembled outdoors for the much-awaited Campfire Night. The glowing flames, music, laughter, and cheerful performances created a magical atmosphere. Singing and dancing around the campfire strengthened our sense of unity and brought warmth to the night. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day filled with joy and togetherness.

    As the fifth day was reserved for an educational trip, we the members of the media team, had to stay late to complete our responsibilities. We worked together to prepare and publish the daily camp newspaper and videos, capturing the memorable moments and highlights of the day before finally settling down to rest.

Day 4 was truly a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and togetherness. From the morning exercise to the drama workshop and the vibrant campfire night, every moment brought out the artist, leader, and friend within each of us. As the campfire flames slowly faded, our hearts glowed with gratitude—for the memories we created, the lessons we learned, and the beautiful bonds we built.

Teaching Practice Journal:  Week 1 at G.V.H.S.S Kadakkal           My teaching practice journey at G.V.H.S.S Kadakkal began on 16th July 2025, marking the start of a truly enriching and transformative experience. Teaching Practice – Week Five Reflection           Week Five of my teaching practice at G.V.H.S.S Kadakkal was an eventful blend of academics, celebrations, and responsibilities. The days were filled with activities that highlighted the spirit of the school — from the excitement of elections and the pride of Independence Day to the joy of classroom learning.
